Who Needs to Use the e-Arrival Card? Exceptions to the Rule

Most foreign travelers entering South Korea are required to complete the e-Arrival Card. However, there are some exceptions, where submission is not necessary, including:

• Foreigners who have completed the registration process in South Korea (including permanent residents and those with a registered residence)
• Holders of group electronic visas
• Travelers with a valid electronic travel authorization (K-ETA)
• Airline crew members

The e-Arrival Card can be submitted starting three days before entering South Korea, and if a traveler does not arrive within 72 hours after submission, the application will be voided.

How to Complete the e-Arrival Card Process

Once submitted, travelers can download a PDF version or take a screenshot for their records, and an email confirmation will be sent.
